Mr. Donnie Lee Little, 71, affectionally known as "Cadillac" of Washington, NC, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Cadillac's Legacy

Donnie Lee Little, affectionally known as “Cadillac”, transitioned from this earthly home Sunday, December 22, 2024.

Donnie was born in Pitt County, North Carolina on January 1, 1953, to the late Robert Lee and Martha D. Little.

Cadillac attended G.R. Whitfield School in Grimesland, North Carolina and later furthered his education by obtaining a Culinary Certification in Creswell, North Carolina. On September 5, 1975, Cadillac was united in holy matrimony to Mary Lloyd Little and their union was blessed with 3 children. Donnie and Mary shared 26 wonderful years of marriage for a total of 31 years of togetherness. In fact, when Cadillac would reference his loving wife Mary, he would often say, “I love that girl”!

Donnie had a profound love for his wife, his family, and people. He was known as “Cadillac” to almost everyone in Washington, North Carolina. To illustrate his genuine love for people, in his early years it became normal for him to bring home strangers that had no place to go, and his mom would feed them. Even up until his passing, it would not be strange for his wife Mary to find someone he invited home in their spare bedroom. Cadillac was not slow doing anything, as a matter of fact, he walked fast and worked fast. In his leisure, Cadillac, enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Donnie leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Mary Little of the home; his children, Earl Lloyd and Monica Little; three grandchildren, Antwan Little, Earl Lloyd, and Evette Tarratt; six siblings, Martha Little, Robert Little, Charles T. Little, Ida Sutton, Ronnie Little (Audrey), and Katie Evans; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cadillac was loved by all who knew him and because of the love he shared with people and the love they shared in return; he will definitely be missed!
