Ms. Delinda J. Freeman of Pantego, N.C. entered into eternal rest on March 1, 2022.
Delinda Joyce Freeman, affectionately known as Mitchie, was born to David Freeman, Jr., and Lydia Mann. She was employed with Sea Safari, Ltd., and Pungo District Hospital. She departed this life on March 1, 2022. Mitchie was united with Weeping Mary Church in Pantego, North Carolina. She served as an usher until her health failed.
Anyone that knew Mitchie knew she loved the Lord. Her favorite saying was “My Daddy got me.” She often referred to the Lord as her Daddy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David Freeman, Jr., and Lydia Mann; sisters, Pauline Scott and Phyllis; and brother, Felton Mann.
She leaves to cherish her memories: brother, Charles Barrow of New York; sister, Dionne Freeman of New York; two nieces; a nephew; aunts; many cousins, especially Wanda (Peaches) Amerson and Scherieka Wright; her four boys whom she raised, Shannon Sanders (Johnetta), William “Nicky” Freeman (Keisha), Christopher Freeman, and Nelson (Ronnie) Tyler; her caretaker/cousin, Jackie Peartree; and close friends, Robert Cotton, Clara Smith, and Kat Sanders; and a host of other relatives and friends
