David Lee Weston

Mr. David Lee Weston of Bath, N.C. entered into eternal rest on October 15, 203, at Ridgewood Rehabilitation & Living Center. 

David Lee Weston was born on Monday, October 14, 1946, in Bath, North Carolina, to the late Matthew and Emily Ann Weston. He entered a peaceful rest on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the age of 77 years old. David had a strong character with an outstanding work ethic. He received his formal education at Belhaven High School in North Carolina and furthered his schooling at North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro, North Carolina. David worked in the banking industry, primarily at The Bank of Nova Scotia in New York.

            He was a man of few words but could also become the life of a party, famously referring to himself as, "KING DAVID." David was well liked and made an impression on those he met. However, he could also become profoundly serious at times but nevertheless a gentleman. David was a wise man within his own right and never forgot where he came from.

 He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers: Matthew, Henry, Edward, Shadrich and James; and one sister, Mable.

  He leaves to cherish his memory; four sons, Vincent Topping, Catara Topping, David Topping and Darnell McGee; one daughter, Latoya Palmer and one stepson, Andrew Topping; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.  Two sisters survive him:  Spirit Lewis and Betty Stackhouse (James) and one brother, Lee O. Weston. David also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other close relatives and friends.
