Curtis Leroy Langley was born on December 24, 1946, to the union of Joe Curtis Langley and Hattie Mae Mayo in Greenville, NC. He departed this life on February 4, 2022.
Curtis Leroy Langley received his formal education at C M Epps in Greenville, NC. He furthered his education at Pitt Community College in Winterville, NC.
Curtis Leroy Langley accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age.
Curtis Leroy Langley was united in holy matrimony with Julia Langley in the early 70’s in Greenville, NC.
Curtis Leroy Langley entered into the United States Air Force on June 7, 1965. He was honorably discharged on October 31, 1966.
He was employed Union Carbide, Piggly Wiggly as a store clerk for thirty years.
In his leisure he enjoyed watching Duke basketball, Dallas Cowboys, he loved old school Motown and R & B Music, loved to dance, walking, and loved to read his Bible faithfully EVERYDAY.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Langley; parents, Joe Curtis Langley and Hattie Mae Mayo; four sisters: Lillie Mae Smith, Dorothy Ash, Anita Mayo, and Gloria Mayo; two brothers, Ernest Hyman and Anthony Thomas.
He leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Latecia Hentz; sons, Shon Weber (Ilona) and Morris Johnson; grandchildren: Xavier, Lakaya, Cheyenne, Cameron, Kai’Lani, and Ara; sisters: Ann Langley, Linda Langley, Helen Langley, and Denise Langley all of Rochester, NY, Barbara Jean Atkinson, Maggie Wilson, Sara Charlene Thomas, Rosylin Mayo, and Regina Anderson (Roger) all of Greenville, NC, and Arominta Blake (Michael) of Sarasota, FL; brothers: Alphonza "Fago" Mayo of Greenville, N.C.; Melvin Langley (Delores), Tim Langley, and Danny Langley all of Rochester, NY, Clifton Langley (Evelyn) of Ayden, NC, and Jerry Whichard of Greenville, NC; special friends: Lee Glover, Ronald Kimber, and Harry “Yate” Sparkman; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
