Christopher Robbins Obituary

Mr. Christopher Anthony Robbins, 36, of Greenville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, in Greenville, N.C.

Mr. Christopher Anthony Robbins, affectionally known as “Chris, Baby Boy, or Big Chris” was born on July 22, 1987, to Mr. Bruce Robbins & the late Betty Willoughby Robbins, in Greenville North Carolina.

Christopher was a graduate of D.H. Conley High School in Greenville, North Carolina. At an early age, Christopher accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and recommittedhis life on March 3, 2024. Chris enjoyed reading the bible during his quiet time and believed that prayer would change a man’s heart. He understood above all, that the Savior was the most important part for his life. Chris enjoyed life and encouraged the family to come to family events to show some love. While Chris was the baby boy, he was thought of as the “big brother” when in the presence of his brothers. Many people thought he was the oldest because he was tall in stature and size. His brothers often said that Chris took all the height from them and sometimes the food too.

He enjoyed being called by his other nicknames “Baby Boy or Big Chris”. He was given the nickname Baby Boy by his late grandmother Laura Willoughby. He stood on that name, knowing that it carried weight because grandma said it. He loved to dress, smell good, and sport baseball caps, especially the New York Yankees. While Chris stood tall in stature, he had a heart that was geared toward helping people. Most importantly to him was the love for his nieces and nephews as he always wanted the best for them. He enjoyed watching them play in the yard and being active in sports.

During his time of dialysis, Chris would always call a family member and let them know he made it through another treatment. Making it through another day of dialysis brought him great joy as some days were difficult. However, Chris never gave up on life. He was a fighter and very persistent about not allowing dialysis to stop him or get the best of him. So, in the words of Chris, “enjoy life and keep family close”.

Christopher Anthony Robbins departed this life on Saturday, March 23, 2024. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Jean Willoughby Robbins.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his father, Bruce Anthony Robbins of the home; three brothers, Kenrick Ruffin (Alexa), Demetrius Robbins (Vonkisha), and Eric Robbins (Amber) all of Greenville, NC; nephews, Trayce, Desmond, Jarmarion, Desean all of Greenville, NC; nieces, Kayla, Alisa and Taryn all of Greenville, NC; uncles, Noah Willoughby, Jr. (Artis) of Bethel, NC, Larry Willoughby (Mildred), David Earl and William Harold Willoughby all of Greenville, NC; aunts, Bernice Willoughby, Joyce Ann Willoughby, and Mary Johnson all of Greenville, NC; a host of other relatives and friends. Again, in the words of Chris, “enjoy life and keep family close”.
