Ms. Carol Lanier of Greenville, N.C. entered into eternal rest on September 30, 2022.

Ms. Carol “Sis” Icelean Lanier was born December 25, 1938, in The Leechville Community of Beaufort County to The Late Harry Van Lanier and Mary Martin Davis. Carol transitioned on September 30, 2022, to be with the Lord at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital in, Washington, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Harry Van Lanier and Mary Martin Davis; two brothers: Ottis Lee Ebron and Daniel A. Davis.
Carol received her education in the Beaufort County School System. She was with the Class of 1958.
Carol “Sis” Icelean Lanier accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and joined St. Paul Church of Christ Disciples of Christ. She served on the willing workers Committee, Ladies Aid, and Kitchen Staff for many of years.
Carol was employed by the Late Atty. John Wilkinson for many years in Washington, N.C. She later was employed by Blue Channel and Sea Safari LTD as a crab Picker until retirement.
She was the matriarch of the family. Even though she never had children of her own, she assisted in the upbringing of the family. Daniel was in her care from the age of 6 months until graduation. Maurice was cared for by her. MJ and Daykuan were accompanied by her on many field trips. Carolyn M. was trained to do many things by her. Also, she was the caregiver for her mother and Aunt to name a few, and the list goes on.
Carol was a woman of grace, knowledge, and wisdom. She could advise you how to do many things. She loved her flowers and trees and having a garden and preparing what she had grown.
To know Carol was to love her. She would tell you what she thought. Her saying was “I will tell you straight to your head, so you can’t say I’m talking about you behind your back”. She also loved food and was a great cook.
