Mrs. Brenda Joyce Hardy of Greenville, N.C. entered into eternal rest on August 20, 2023.
Psalms 27:14 “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”
Brenda Newsome Hardy was born December 15, 1956 to Willie Nichols and Sarah Hart Newsome in Greenville, N.C. Brenda graduated from J.H. Rose High School in 1975 in Greenville, N.C. She furthered her education at Pitt Community College in Winterville, N.C., receiving her associate degree in applied science in 1977 as she also graduated from Mitchell’s Hairstyling Academy in 1985.
Brenda Newsome Hardy accepted Christ as her Savior on February 4th, 1962, at an early age, and was united with St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. Brenda Joyce Newsome was united in holy matrimony with Charles F. Hardy on January 20, 1989, in Greenville, N.C. Their union was blessed with one child. She was employed at Burrough Welcome for many years, also she worked at Cypress Glenn Retirement Community for many years until her health began to fail. In her leisure, she enjoyed doing hair, she was a beloved Beautician for many years as well as her love and care for kids.
Brenda Newsome Hardy departed this life on August 20, 2023. She was preceded in death by: parents, Willie Nichols and Sarah Hart Newsome.
She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Charles F. Hardy; son, Charles K. Hardy(Chrystal); grandchildren, Ashanti Hardy, Kamiah Gilbert; great grandson, Jordan Johnson; five sisters, Lula M. Harper (Leo), Sarah M. Williams (James), Donell Newsome, Terry N. Gardner (Danny), and Mary N. Little (Bob) all of Greenville, N.C.; one brother, Rev. Dave Newsome Jr. (Ruby) of Seattle, WA; one bonus sister, Erma Roberson of Greenville, N.C.; six nieces, Dr. Tiffany H. Little (Martin), La’Vette W. Dixon (Brian), Latosha Harper, Nicole N. Corbett (Tyrone), Cherisse Newsome, and Ronita L. Stanford; two nephews, Jacoby B. Crandell (Angel) and William L. Clemmons III; great niece, Yvette Hart; 1st cousin, Annie Lee Hart; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Heavenly Arms Family Mortuary & Cremation Services, 8482 E. Marlboro Rd. Suite G, Farmville, N.C.
