Mr. Arthur Harris III, 57, of Aurora, N.C., passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, N.C.
Arthur Harris, III was born June 23, 1966, to the union of Arthur Harris, Jr. and Stella moore in Southampton, New York.
Arthur Harris, III received his formal education in the Beaufort County School System. He furthered his education at Elizabeth City State university in Elizabeth City, NC.
Arthur Harris, III accepted Christ at an early age and was united with St. Paul AME Zion Church in Aurora, NC.
He was self-employed as a CDL Driver contractor. In his leisure, he was affiliated with the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
Arthur Harris, III departed this life on June 1, 2024. He was preceded in death by father, Arthur Harris, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory: children, Melissa Hinton of Raleigh, NC, Markel Williams of Greensboro, NC, Arthur Harris, IIII, and Essence Harris both of Detroit Michigan; grandchildren, Makayla Davis-Hinton, Tavion Davis-Hinton, Micah Davis-Hinton all Raleigh, NC, Gabrielle Williams of Greensboro, NC, Nevaeh Harris, and Halo Harris all of Detroit, Michigan; fiancé, Joyce Albert; sister, Leslie Hill of Durham, NC, Latanya Purdue (William) of Washington, NC, Tasha Glaspie (Quentin) of Durham, NC; brothers, Imhotep Matsimela (Sheena) of Greensboro, NC; three special friends, Jeff Johnson, Matthew Kinnion, Rodney Harris, Timothy Johnson, and Milton Stilley; and He has son like relationship that he treasured with Samir Gregory; and the bond for life with his brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends.
