Allecia Bernadece Hopkins-Hyman received her formal education at Tarboro High School in Tarboro, N.C. She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age.
Allecia Hopkins- Hyman was united in holy matrimony with Robert L. Hyman Jr. on September 2,2000 in Tarboro, N.C. She was employed by Edgecombe County Public Schools and Tar River Transit as a Bus Driver for 14 years. In her leisure she enjoyed bowling, cooking, watching movies. She also was a member of Cherry Blossom in Tarboro, N.C.
Allecia Bernadece Hopkins- Hyman departed this life on October 2, 2022. She was preceded in death by: Mother: Madilyn Hopkins; Father: Alton Cofield; Daughter: Paris Hopkins; Son: Robert Hyman Jr.; Stepmother: Mary Sharpe Cofield; and Godmother: Verlie Inez Sessoms.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Husband: Robert Hyman Jr; Children: Brittney Adkins, Denajia Hyman, Angel Hyman, and Ladarius Powell, and a host of other adopted children; Grandchildren: Ladarius Powell Jr.; and Trevor Carson Powell; Sisters and Brothers: Sieja Harrison, Kimberly Andrews, Lashonda Sharpe, Tameka Flowers (Dwight), Anisha Battle, Fatima Wills (Cory), Eric Johnson, Gary Sessoms (Billie), Justin Sessoms, and Quandail Schnell (Alice); One Grandmother: Margie Cofield; Mother-in-law: Barbara Hyman; Special Aunt: Kimberly Moore; brother-in-law: Timothy Hyman (Kia); Sister-in-law: Yolanda Hyman(Richard), and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousin, family, and friends.
